Why Work with a College Adviser?
- Improve your options. An adviser can help you identify good-match colleges, understand how to make yourself a stronger candidate, and create the best application you can.
- Save time and gain focus. Don't wade through dozens of books and websites. Let an adviser answer common questions and connect you with the resources you actually need.
- Reduce stress. In addition to offering structure and clarity during this confusing process, a college adviser can also serve as a much-needed buffer between stressed-out students and parents.

The Process
First, we'll have a brief discussion to see if we're a good match. If so, we'll work to further clarify what your goals are and what kind of support you'd like--Do you want to schedule regular coaching sessions with assignments and deadlines? Do you want to manage the process yourself, but have me as an on-call resource as needed? Or something in between? Based on your goals, we'll work together to select a college advising package that makes the most sense for you, which can be adjusted later if needed: 30 hours ($2,670), 20 hours ($1,980), 10 hours ($1,090), 5 hours ($595), or individual "a la carte" hours ($149). You can dedicate this time to "live" support (e.g., in-person meetings or phone calls) or "offline" support (e.g., questions by email, essay editing, research on your behalf).
