In brief, “A liberal arts education refers to a course of study that provides general knowledge and develops general intellectual reasoning and analytical capabilities rather than professional, vocational, or technical skills. A liberal arts curriculum incorporates studies in languages, philosophy, literature, history, and sciences.”

The Union for Reform Judaism has just released its RJ Insider’s Guide to College Life (PDF). “While similar to the annual US News & World Report college edition, the RJ Insider’s Guide to College Life ranks schools by popularity with Jewish students and provides information on each of the 60 schools’ Jewish offerings–Jewish fraternities and sororities on campus, Jewish studies programs, Jewish worship and more–rather than concentrating on educational criteria used by the Report.”
